Eat, Drink, Read!
APRL
encourages you to attend a fundraiser for the San Diego Council on
Literacy May 18. We learned that a contributing chef was planning on serving a foie gras dish, so we contacted the event organizers, who had the item removed! We encourage you to
attend this fundraiser to thank them for this humane decision. Literacy is necessary for an educated and informed society, which helps us get our message out
as well!
Stand Up for Seals
The San Diego Union Tribune
ran a great editorial and cartoon poking fun at anti-seal agitators who harass the La Jolla
seals, as reported by their news department. The SD Reader also ran a very apt cartoon. Please attend an upcoming City Council meeting, a rally, and a court hearing to support the seals! See our events page for more
info.
